Hello! I'm Charli, a journalist specialising in audio and narrative storytelling. I'm an experienced environment reporter, audio producer, and podcast & radio host. I'm Australian, based in Germany.I focus mainly on the climate & environment in my current role, where I report and produce audio features for the DW Environment desk's award-winning weekly podcast Living Planet. In 2025, a series on the true cost of climate change I co-created for Living Planet with producer Sam Baker was awarded a silver Signal Award, bronze Lovie Award and bronze URTI Radio Grand Prix.I also co-created the award-winning odd history pod Don't Drink the Milk: The Curious History of Things about the strange and surprising stories behind things we think we know well. I produced its top three performing episodes to date, one of which won a Publisher Podcast Award for Best Culture Podcast.My reporting has so far taken me to North Macedonia, Switzerland, Scotland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Italy, the southeastern corner of Tasmania, outback Queensland, the wet tropics of northeastern Australia, and Morocco.
